The challenge: 20,000 words, 12 languages, 1 week
Our client (who wished to remain anonymous) provides home air and water treatment devices, which users can manage via an app. As they prepared to launch the app in new markets, they urgently needed the English-language content translated into 12 languages—with four more to follow—in order to start testing the localized versions the following week.
It was too big a task for us to fit in last minute while still delivering the high-quality human translation our client needed. However, our client was concerned about the risks of relying solely on AI to translate this high-profile product. Any ambiguities or inconsistencies in the localized content could result in a poor user experience, while mistranslations or off-brand language pose reputational risks.

The solution: Assured AI blends automation with targeted human expertise
First, we ran the English app content through a machine translation engine for a rapid first draft. We then used our LLM to apply a specially curated glossary to make sure key terminology was translated accurately and consistently from the outset.
We developed this glossary within a day, using the client’s existing glossary and asking our linguists to add some terms specific to the app. Having this resource in place greatly improved the quality of the machine translations, reducing the number of manual fixes required, and proved helpful further down the line as more languages were added.

The following day, we delivered Assured AI translations—with the glossary applied, but not yet post-edited—back into the client’s ContentStack tool. (We can plug into just about any tool, and work with content in any format—meaning one less thing for you to worry about.) With this draft content in place, the client was able to start some early functional testing while we got to work on polishing the final translations.

Our client wanted a full post edit of all content therefore we asked our linguists to review and polish all the translations before the final delivery, focusing on making sure the glossary applied by the LLM had been applied correctly.
We also achieved savings by leveraging previous human translations to validate quality and improve the machine outputs. Drawing on existing translation memories and glossaries made it much faster to check terminology, and prevented the over-translation of product names in the second phase of the project.
This efficient and robust approach meant our client could stick to their testing schedule. And as soon as final translations were ready, we replaced the draft content with fully post-edited translations delivered by our expert linguists.
Results
Thanks to Assured AI, we were able to process all 12 languages required within two days, using automated translation enhanced by our LLM application of our curated glossary. This is about five times faster than human translation, and enabled our client to complete testing on time and keep their launch on schedule.
